‘Our’ pair are back!!

They have made us wait (again!) but it appears our hard-working osprey pair of 2024 have now returned to the Gilestone Farm nest.

The male was back at 8am on Monday 14th April, and the female this afternoon at 12.53pm (17th). They have made us wait (again!) but each are back a few days earlier than their respective arrivals in 2024. It remains to be seen if time and circumstance will allow for successful breeding this year but UVO are delighted they are now back in familiar surroundings.

They may already have met up somewhere in the valley today, but as yet they have not been seen together on the nest.
