VOLUNTEER TRAINING DAY SATURDAY 20/04/24 1000-1430

We hope all who showed interest in volunteering to help watch the Talybont-on-Usk nest, either via video feed or in person from the towpath, have registered their interest via info@uskvalleyospreys.org.  If not there's still time, but please be quick.

The day will include briefings from ornithologist, Andy King, covering all the latest local osprey news plus the nitty gritty of what nest watching entails.  Experienced osprey watcher Liz Jones will go into osprey identification plus their behaviours and what to look for in terms of incidents or causes for concern.  She will outline all aspects of recording the viewing data together with response and emergency protocols.

Site visit to viewing station on the canal will conclude the day.
